Dear Friends:

I thank you for taking this time to visit our web site, it is both my hope and desire that you would join and become an active member and participant with the National Association of Funeral Service Professionals, Inc. (NAFSPI).  After much intensive labor and a multitude of discussions with industry professionals, from across the country, the need was determined to craft and create a professional organization, which represents all participants in the funeral service industry.

Here at the National Association of Funeral Service Professionals, Inc. our purpose is to maintain a professional association of Funeral Home Owners, Licensed Funeral Directors, Licensed Embalmers, Funeral Suppliers, Cemetery and Cremation Personnel, Employees in the funeral service industry, Students, Apprentices, Interns, and Retirees. This organization has been created to ensure the continued advancement and education of its members through education, mentoring, training and cooperative partnering.

Our overall objective is to provide an opportunity for each of our esteemed members to gain the latest in educational, technical, financial, social, and spiritual support to the general body of this organization. We encourage each member to study, examine, and participate in the latest trends and educational opportunities involving mortuary science. We endeavor that each member would assemble for the purpose of mutual helpfulness to one another, during both critical and general purposes.

Our Vision Statement is Strengthening and affirming our professional relationships through Service, Unity, Love, Respect, Faith and Dedication.

The Mission Statement of NAFSPI is bringing together members of The National Association of Funeral Service Professionals, Inc. men and women that are fully committed to the funeral service industry and profession, who are eager to help improve and build a solid and firm relationship with each other and the citizens served by this association through, education, mentoring, training, and cooperation.

The membership into NAFSPI is open to any individual who is a Licensed Funeral Directors and Embalmers, Funeral Home Owners, Mortuary Science Students, Interns, Apprentices, Funeral Home Employees, Cemetery and Crematory Employees and Owners, Funeral Industry Suppliers, Retirees previously employed in any of the listed categories and other Training Organizations shall be eligible for membership. No individual will be discriminated against regardless, of race, color, religion, disability, age, sexual preference, or national origin.

So my brother and my sister I solicit you too come and join in with us as we, “Light the path by which other are to follow,”  for we are NAFSPI and we are ONE.

Mr. Carl Swann and Ms. Leslie Davis ae our Director and Co-Directors of the Department of Education.  Both have long standing experience in the death care industry.  

Mr. Swann was a recent instructor in the art of embalming at Gupton Jones Institute of Funeral Service in Atlanta, GA.
